Empowering Women in Early Childhood Education: Our CSR Initiative during Ramadan 2023

Ramadan 2023 was a transformative time for our organization as we embarked on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at empowering women in the field of early childhood education. Through this initiative, we provided a grant for the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children and Young People, a course designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of children. This blog highlights our journey, from receiving nominations to selecting deserving candidates and supporting the UAE’s objective of empowering women in the economy.

Receiving Nominations:

As soon as we announced the availability of the grant, we were overwhelmed by the response we received. Numerous nominations poured in, each representing a woman with a burning desire to start a career in early years but facing financial difficulties that hindered their progress. We were humbled by their aspirations and determined to make a difference in their lives.

Selection Criteria:

Choosing the recipients of the grant was no easy task. We carefully assessed each nomination against a set of criteria. First and foremost, we ensured that the nominees met the prerequisites of the TQUK Level 2 Certificate course. This ensured that they had the foundational knowledge required to excel in their future endeavors. Furthermore, we prioritized women who faced financial difficulties and were unable to afford the course themselves. We also considered working Teaching Assistants (TAs) who needed the certification for job security but lacked the means to pursue it independently. The selection process was both challenging and inspiring, as we came across numerous stories of determination, resilience, and passion.

Meet the Selected Ladies:

After careful consideration, we are thrilled to introduce the five ladies who have been chosen to receive the grant for the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children and Young People:

1) Nakyanzi Rachael
2) Iroosha Dilrukshi
3) Nia’am Shahnawaz Zameer
4) Qareena Shahnawaz
5) Laiba Asghar

We believe these remarkable women embody the qualities necessary to make a meaningful impact in the field of early childhood education. Their dedication and determination to overcome obstacles and pursue their dreams were evident in their nominations. We congratulate them on being selected and wish them the very best for their future endeavors.

Supporting Women in the Economy:

Our CSR initiative aligns with the UAE’s objective of supporting women in the economy, as emphasized by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. We are proud to contribute to this strategic objective and recognize the immense potential of women in shaping the future of early childhood education.

Conclusion:

As we reflect on our Ramadan 2023 CSR initiative, we are filled with a sense of gratitude and hope. Gratitude for the overwhelming response and the incredible women who stepped forward to pursue their dreams, and hope for the impact they will make in the lives of children and young people. By providing these deserving ladies with the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children and Young People, we are not only empowering them individually but also uplifting the field of early childhood education as a whole. We firmly believe that investing in women’s education and empowerment is an investment in a brighter future for our society.

Wishing Nakyanzi Rachael, Iroosha Dilrukshi, Nia’am Shahnawaz Zameer, Qareena Shahnawaz, and Laiba Asghar the very best for their future endeavors. May they inspire countless others to follow their dreams and make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. Together, let us continue to support and uplift women, creating a more inclusive and prosperous society.
